Cross Over
When Jesus said, “Let us cross over to the other side,” He had already declared the outcome before the storm ever began. The disciples saw waves. Jesus saw the destination.
Throughout Scripture, mountains became places where heaven met earth. Moses received the Law. Elijah heard the still small voice. Jesus was transfigured before His disciples. Yet before every mountaintop comes a climb.
When the disciples found themselves surrounded by wind and waves, panic filled the boat. But Jesus spoke one sentence that still echoes today: “Peace, be still.” The storm didn’t have the final word. Neither does yours.
Remember what Jesus said before the storm. “Let us cross over.” If He called you to the other side, then the storm cannot cancel your destination. The One who commands the wind is still in your boat.
Grounded In Faith
Father, thank You for going before me into every storm. Strengthen my faith when the waves rise and remind me that Your Word is greater than my circumstances. Help me keep my eyes on You until I reach the other side You have prepared. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
