Healing In His Wings
David spent much of his life running toward battles. Yet his greatest discovery wasn’t found on a battlefield. It was found beneath the covering of God’s love. The number twenty-six speaks of the Beloved. In Hebrew thought, the numerical value of God’s covenant name, YHWH, is twenty-six, a beautiful reminder that everything begins with Him.
Before David was a king, a warrior, or a songwriter, he was loved by God. That truth changed everything. The prophet Malachi declared, “The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings.” Notice where the healing is found. Not merely in His power. Not merely in His miracles. But beneath His covering. David often wrote of hiding beneath the shadow of God’s wings. He understood that intimacy with God was never weakness. It was the safest and strongest place a warrior could stand.
Grounded In Faith
Father, thank You for calling me Your beloved. Heal every place in my heart that still believes I must earn what You freely give. Teach me to rest beneath Your wings and to walk confidently in the security of Your love. Let Your healing flow through every part of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
