of Glory
Anyone who has watched a fire burn low knows something remarkable. The flames may appear to have disappeared, yet beneath the ashes glowing coals remain. All it takes is a fresh breath of wind, and the fire comes alive again. So it is with the manifest Presence of God.
Throughout Scripture, fire is evidence that God has drawn near. He appeared to Moses in a burning bush. He led Israel by a pillar of fire. He answered Elijah with fire from heaven. At Pentecost, tongues of fire rested upon the disciples as the Holy Spirit filled the
room.
Wherever God manifested His Presence, holy fire was never far behind. Revival begins with surrendered people whose hearts have become fuel for the fire of God. Like David, a man after God’s own heart. We need hearts that burn with His holiness, His love, and His power. The fire is not the goal; His Presence is. The fire is simply the evidence that He is near.
Grounded In Faith
Holy Spirit, breathe fresh life into my heart today. Rekindle every gift You’ve placed
within me, and remove anything that keeps me from walking closely with You. Let my life reflect
the light of Christ with humility, courage, and unwavering love. Burn brightly through me for Your glory alone. Amen.
