The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom because true wisdom begins when we recognize the holiness of God. It starts when we stop measuring life by what seems right to us and begin yielding to what is right in His sight. Wisdom is born in reverence. It flourishes in surrender. David spent years learning to follow the Spirit of God.
Long before the crown rested upon his head, the Holy Spirit rested upon David’s life. David learned that God’s ways are higher because God’s ways are holy. Today, many people desire God’s promises without embracing God’s process.
The Holy Spirit is not merely trying to get you to your promise. He is shaping you into someone who can carry it with humility, integrity, and honor.
Grounded In Faith
Father, teach me to walk in the fear of the Lord, where true wisdom begins. Help me to recognize Your
voice above every other voice and to trust Your leading, even when it requires patience,
surrender, and faith. Shape my character through Your process so that I may carry every blessing
with humility and honor. Let my life reflect Your holiness, and may I follow wherever Your Holy
Spirit leads. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
