Psalm 4:7

“You have filled my heart with more joy than when their grain and new wine abound.”

Are you ready for new wine and new joy in your life?

Daily Devotional

Joy, Grain, and New Wine!

King David understood something powerful about joy. As a shepherd, a warrior, and eventually a king, he experienced seasons of plenty and seasons of hardship. Yet David discovered that the deepest joy in his life did not come from harvests, riches, or celebrations. It came from the presence of God.

Grain and new wine were signs of blessing in David’s world. They represented a successful harvest, provision for the future, and reason to celebrate. But David recognized that even the greatest earthly abundance could not compare to the joy God placed in his heart.

There is an invitation here for us. When we pause and turn our hearts toward gratitude—remembering God’s faithfulness, His provision, and His nearness—we can begin to experience something deeper than temporary happiness.

The Lord is ready to pour new wine into your cup. He can refresh your soul and give a joy the world can’t touch. God’s presence is the key to the treasures of Heaven. King David knew this—he rejoiced in the overflow of God’s goodness. And the same God who filled David’s cup is ready to fill yours today, my friend.

Grounded in Faith

Lord, thank You for Your presence and Your goodness in my life.

Teach my heart to be thankful in every season.

As I remember Your faithfulness, fill me with fresh joy and renewed hope.

Let gratitude open my eyes today. Amen.

Pray-A-Latte

You will make your prayer to him, and he will hear you.
