A Heart That Delights in God
“Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed.” Psalm 112:1-2 NKJV
I love that word “delight” mentioned in today’s verse. Obedience is not supposed to feel heavy. It is supposed to bring joy. I have learned that when I delight in God’s Word, obedience becomes natural. It is a blessing instead of a burden.
When you obey with joy, you open the door for blessings that ripple through your family. Psalm 112 says your children will be mighty in the land. That is not just about material things; it is about spiritual strength and influence. Your delight in God today can empower your children tomorrow.
Think about this: delight is contagious. When people see you living with joy in obedience, it stirs something in them. They begin to believe that God’s way really is the best way. Your life becomes a testimony that obedience is not about restriction; it is about freedom and favor.
Brew on This:
How can you cultivate a heart that finds joy in obedience rather than obligation?
Grounded In Faith
I delight in God’s commands.
I choose to obey with joy and point people to King Jesus and His way of living.
I walk in divine freedom, favor, and influence because of my obedience.
Pray-A-Latte
