When Evil Backfires

Friend, the enemy is a master of sabotage. He plots, schemes, and whispers lies hoping you’ll believe your story ends in defeat. But here’s the truth: the devil is not in competition with Jesus. He’s a defeated foe, a cosmic punk with no real power except what we hand him. Every time he throws a punch, God turns it into a promotion. What the enemy meant for evil becomes the raw material for your destiny. 

Joseph understood this principle well. Betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused, and forgotten in prison, his life looked like a tragedy. But behind the scenes, God was weaving a tapestry of redemption. Every setback was a setup for his kingship. When Joseph finally stood before Pharaoh, he declared, “You meant evil against me; but God meant it for good.” This is more than just a verse. It’s a battle cry for your life. 

So, when trials come, don’t curse them. Don’t waste your pain. Ask the Lord, “How are You shaping me through this?” Your heartbreak, your loss, and your disappointment are chisels in the hand of a Master Sculptor. He’s carving out a heart that looks like His. 

Today, refuse to be impressed with evil. Fall in love with God’s goodness instead. Evil only has the power you give it, so stop feeding fear and start fueling faith. Lift your eyes and declare: “My Father is turning this attack into advancement. I am being shaped for greatness!” What the enemy meant for evil will become the very thing that launches you into your destiny.
