No Kraken For Me

It’s crazy how a part of us wants to be impressed with scary things. So, it starts off with us inventing some kind of Kraken that lives out there on the outskirts of the map, right? Then, it turns into believing and thinking about vampires and werewolves. Then, after a while, we start to romanticize vampires and werewolves, make them sensual, even erotic, and say, man, we just think that that’s cool. God help us.

We have to be able to say, I will not embrace evil, I will not embrace darkness.  We have to have a pure rejection of that. We have to admit, I’m a dude like anybody else, and I’m attracted to things, and I can get off course. But what’s real is I have a value for Heaven, so I reject darkness. Just having that language will help you go, – No, I just reject that. I’m not going to think about it. I don’t want to be a part of that.

The verse for that is Romans 12:2, and then also over in verse 9.   And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

It says do not be conformed to the world, right? So, we know that. But then, in verse 9, it says, Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 

We have to reject evil in every part of our life, so that our hearts are pure and our hands are clean and empty of anything that would keep us from grabbing on to Jesus for dear life!
