BELOVED COVENANT
Likewise, He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you. Luke 22:20 NKJV
Every one of us has a calling to glorify God. There are individual callings on our lives that glorify Him, but if we don’t wake up to the purpose that we are to glorify Him, we can forget waking up to the purpose of how we are going to glorify Him. A 19th-century symphonic composer named Anton Bruckner signed every masterpiece he wrote with the words “to the glory of God.” He got it. He understood his purpose.
Glorifying God means being occupied with and committed to His ways rather than being preoccupied with and determined to go your own way.
Glorify Him in the “Ins” of Life:
In your public life or your private affairs, in your relationships, in your home, in your work, in your school, in traveling, in your thinking, God gets the glory!
Glorify Him in the “Ifs” of Life:
If a person you love leaves or stays, if you have money or not, if a cause you support works or if it goes down in flames, if your plans succeed or fail, God gets the glory – not the blame – just the glory.
A covenant mentality says God gets the glory! Connect with covenant-minded people, their personal agenda takes a back seat.
A covenant mentality says, “I have a place to go no matter what.” Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus…Hebrews 10:19
The holiest is the most powerful place. When I am in blood covenant with God through Jesus Christ, I have access to the most powerful part of God Himself.
A covenant mentality says, “I have help in times of need.”
For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:15-17
With the miracle of His birth and your renewed love for Him, renew your covenant. He shed His blood for the joy of being in covenant with you!
Declaration: My soul rejoices because I am in a Sacred, Holy Covenant with the Lord Jesus. He is my beloved, and I am His. Everything I do, I do it to bring glory to my God! There is no safer place to be than in covenant with Him.
