Wait For It – It’s Coming
That night, there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. Luke 2:8-10
There was nothing in their lives that prepared them for the moment when they saw the angel. There was no way that they could have missed the fact that this was from God. When He brings us a message, He does what He tells us He will.
“The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.” Luke 2:20
The word typology means studying how God speaks through types, shadows, symbols, and secrets. To understand types and shadows, we will have to look at the heavenly language of symbols and parables. However, to understand symbols and parables, we first need to understand how God speaks and why we should dedicate our lives to pursuing His word and following His heart.
I never go searching for ways to minister. God knows what I am to do, so He brings me ministry that He knows I will do well. He brought me deeply into a place of study and searching out the ways He speaks to us.
God is speaking to you right now, and it is a word that changes everything. It is a word that is in direct contrast to what the world is saying. He brings a word that will give you a different focus and a different lens so you can see something that you must see because it is a message from God Himself. As His people, we must be people who hear God speak.
Declaration: I live a lifestyle that makes room for me to hear from God. My heart waits with expectancy to hear what He will bring me. He is the one who planned my life and has a purpose for me. He speaks to me in the darkness of nights, the first light of day, in the noonday sun, and at twilight when He brings forth His stars. I rejoice that He loves me and tells me wonder-filled things.
