The Christmas story highlights the fact that there are literally kings and queens among us. They are the people who are so full of the Holy Spirit and are so selfless that God is doing amazing things with them. The world doesn’t have a clue who they are, but the Father’s eye is on them. There are some men that have gone through so much and instead of you being in the kingly position where you belong, there’s some Herod that’s in your position.
Revelation 1:5-6 says that Jesus “loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” The story of Christmas proves that God sees what nobody else sees, and He tracks what nobody else tracks, and He knows when nobody else knows, and He loves, and He honors who nobody else loves and honors. He sees, and He is keeping track.
When the angel Gabriel showed up to Mary herself and told her she was highly favored and blessed and was celebrated, she literally thought he had the wrong address, but he wasn’t talking about Earth; he was talking about Heaven.
The Lord has seen your selflessness. He’s seen your acts of kindness. He’s seen the good choices you made, and He saw when other people made fun of you or laughed at you. You’re not of this world; you are a royal priesthood. There is royalty flowing through you. Jesus, who loves you and knows you and who has named you and who has numbered you, is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, and He rules and reigns over all things. He knows those who are His, and you belong to Him. He sees you and loves you.
Declaration: I belong to Jesus and know that He belongs to me. No matter what goes on in the world around me, I keep my eyes fixed on Him, and He watches over me.
