PERFECT TIMING
Then I heard a loud voice shouting across the heavens, “It has come at last— salvation and power and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down to earth— the one who accuses them before our God day and night. Revelation 12:10 NLT
God plainly tells people whenever He’s going to do something all the way through the word of God. God gave Noah advanced notice of when the flood would come. He tells Abraham exactly how long the Israelites would be in Egypt—490 years. God Almighty revealed to prophetic people the very day of Elijah’s rapture. Only prophetic people knew it. The school of the prophets knew the day He was going to go up. But non-prophetic people missed it.
In Jeremiah 29, God Almighty told Jeremiah how long the Babylonian exile would be. God told him they were going to be there for 70 years. God Almighty plainly tells the whole world, through the prophet Daniel, exactly how many years until the Messiah would show up. And that’s exactly when Jesus Christ showed up. The timeline was given—it was there. Even though the timeline was given, there were still many who missed Jesus.
How many people were in Bethlehem walking right past the manger not knowing the greatest promise the world has ever seen was right there? Who are the people who knew? The ones that were actually waiting for the Messiah to show up. They were prophetic people.
There was some crazy old man named Simeon. God Almighty had personally revealed to him that he would not die before he saw the Messiah. On the eighth day, when they brought Jesus to the temple, Simeon was right there and said, I knew I was going to see it. I’m waiting right here. I knew, I knew this was going to happen. And boom! He happened to be there at the right moment. Why? Because God had told him prophetically that He was about to show up. Then, some crazy old woman by the name of Anna did nothing but pray and fast – that was her ministry. God had prophetically revealed to her the Messiah was about to show up so she should go look for Him. As soon as she saw the baby, she knew that it was the Messiah.
There is so much to be watching for; sharpen your prophetic awareness, listen and watch for God to speak to you. Don’t be like some of the people in Bethlehem; don’t miss what’s next!
Declaration: I am a child of the Lord Most High and clearly hear what He is saying. Jesus’ birth fulfilled so many Biblical prophecies that I know for sure the Lord wants us to know His plans and His timing. My heart is grateful that I am walking with Jesus.
