DON’T GET SQUEEZED
Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11 NKJV
Those under the Python Spirit—the spirit of sorcery—reject relationship with the Living God. See Jude 1 for more. They want the power but reject the Person. They use grace as a license for fleshly sin, gossip, slander, and the undermining of leadership. They are also grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. This is the Python Spirit.
The greatest attacks of the enemy come just before a great promotion and just after a great victory. You are especially vulnerable to the Python Spirit when you have everything or when you have nothing.
Are you being squeezed by the python spirit? It’s always good to take stock of your life and when it comes to spiritual warfare, you should take stock often. With that said, here are some sure signs you are being squeezed by the coils of the Python Spirit.
Physical fatigue. Lack of physical strength and stamina, lack of sleep, the feeling that you cannot move forward or the feeling like you want to give up due to sheer physical and mental exhaustion.
Spiritual Fatigue. The fire of the Holy Spirit is gone. You no longer have a passion for the Word, church, praise, and worship or the things of God because the cares of the world are on your shoulders. You start to find solace or escape in the world.
The Lack Attack. Your resources dry up all at once. Your business suddenly goes south, or you get laid off. The dryer is broken, the kids are sick, the car is on its last leg and the debts are piling up. Financial drains appear out of nowhere sapping your supply. You work and work to catch up but feel like you’re in quicksand. If you have stopped tithing or are cutting back on your tithe, you are under a demonic attack.
How to defeat a python spirit: The Name of Jesus is enough. We have that beautiful, powerful Name that gives us all power and authority. You tell that spirit to leave now in Jesus’ name!
Declaration: I rebuke the python spirit and say to it, “Go! You have no right to my life. In the name of Jesus, I rebuke you and send you back to your place in hell. I have physical energy, I am on fire with the Holy Spirit in me, and I live in the abundance and fullness of life Jesus gave me. I am free because the Spirit of God is Lord over my life.”
