THE NEXT “GREAT ONE”
All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Luke 10:22 NKJV
If you know anything about hockey, you know about Wayne Gretzky – The Great One. They call him that for a reason: Gretzky is a prophet. Check out this quote on why he was so much better than his competition: “I skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been, and I fight my way to get there before everybody else does.”
When I first read that, I was floored because that’s all about living a prophetic lifestyle – a Kingdom lifestyle.
This is what The Great One is really saying: “Well, I’m not playing where the game is. I’m always playing where I think the game is going. While everybody else is trying to keep up with where it is, I’m always going to where I know the puck is going because that’s where the game really is.”
That’s exactly what God would have you and I do. You and I aren’t fighting for what has been or what is. No, sir. We’re fighting for what can be. That means we’re calling those things that are not as though they are. We’re fighting for those things.
This is what prophetic people do. This is what Christians do. This is what people who are really into Kingdom living do. We’re constantly anticipating and fighting for the next place.
We’re not constantly fighting for what used to be – the way we used to worship, serve, do church, or reach the lost. We’re constantly fighting for the next thing. The next move of God. The next way to reach the lost. We are the one hearing the voice of God, listening to what He is saying, and obeying what He tells us to do. We only make the moves He tells us to make.
You and I were created to fight for the next place. We were created for upgrade. Are you ready to skate to where the puck is? Listen intently to the Truly “Great One.”
Declaration: The One knows the next move He will make. I live and move and have my being in Him, so I am ready to pivot, turn, go forward, and skate to make perfect connections, and find perfect solutions. The Kingdom is advancing, and I am poised to be part of the next move.
