HAGGLING

Sooner or later, we all discover that God does not ask too much. Is there a price we have to pay? Yes, there is. It is a lifetime of choosing the things of God rather than what we or anybody else tells us we should want. We must commit to being passionate about our relationship with Christ and to keep growing and learning.

We have to do things we don’t want to do and walk away from things our flesh cries out for. We are asked to be people we know we are incapable of being. However, the promise of God is that, with God, all things are possible.

We are asked to keep our mouths shut when we are capable of chewing up our opponent and spitting them out. We are asked to speak up and be counted when we would rather fade into the background like the lobster in the restaurant aquarium.

So they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere. Luke 9:6 NKJV

Jesus sent His first followers out to preach and heal everywhere. It was not an easy assignment. We are asked to be committed to the Body of Christ when we don’t feel like giving, getting up, or putting up with sister Suzie Rottenheart. We want to bargain for the life God has given us – to make a deal. We need to be careful of this mentality because it screams that we are getting ripped off when nothing could be further from the truth.

Declaration: Jesus shed His priceless blood so I can be part of His family, the Church.  I pray for unity in the Church.  I love the people in the Church and support our missions.
