Romans 6:23 (NKJV) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
CHOOSE LIFE OR DEATH
Exodus 20:23 (NKJV) You shall not make anything to be with Me—gods of silver or gods of gold you shall not make for yourselves.
Romans 1:28-32 ( KJV) And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death.”
These 23 things listed here, by the judgment of the Lord, lead to DEATH. The word “Death” is in the Bible 138 times or 6 x 23.
Friends, God has given you the freedom to choose between two masters, but you are not free to manipulate the consequences of your choice. Each master pays with his kind of currency: the currency (wages) of sin is death. Jesus Christ offers the currency of Eternal Life: a glorious new life with the King, our Saviour, that begins here on Earth and continues for an eternity with God. What will you choose on this day, Life or death?
Deuteronomy 30:19 (NLT) Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!
1 Peter 5:8 (NASB 1995) Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
Proverbs 14:26-27 (NKJV) – In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, And His children will have a place of refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to turn one away from the snares of death.
Declaration: I declare in Jesus’ name that I am alive in Christ and dead to the world. The life of Christ will be on me. His resurrection power will flow through me, and goodness and mercy will follow me. The gates of hell will not prevail over my family or me, and I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
