Luke 5:27 (NKJV): After these things He went out and saw a tax collector named Levi, sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, “Follow Me.”
HIGHER PERSPECTIVE
Levi immediately got up and followed Jesus. This lonely man, who was despised by his family and others living around him for being a tax collector, had a revelation. He heard the voice of God invite him into fellowship with Him. The revelation changed him, and he became Matthew, who wrote the Gospel of Jesus. Imagine the joy he felt when he wrote down these words Jesus said, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:20b NKJV)
“Revelation knowledge is knowing or seeing something the way God knows or sees something. This is fundamental Christianity. This is the rock where the church starts. This is a view from above.
The next time your heart is overwhelmed, and your mind is freaked out – the next time you are at the “end of your world,” as both King David and King Jesus have put it – allow the Lord to lead you to a higher rock. Let God show you your situation the way He sees it. Consent to the leading of the Holy Spirit concerning your understanding of whatever is causing your anxiety.
Say, “Lord, lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” In other words, “Show me how to see this the way you see it. Show me how to know this the way you do.”
Submit your mind to the mind of Christ.
When you get a real download of revelation knowledge, and you see your situation from God’s point of view, it is like climbing up to a higher place where the air is clean, and things make sense. “That’s a higher rock worth climbing.”
Declaration: Today, when I feel overwhelmed, I will call on Jesus to show me how He sees my situation and ask Him to lead me to a higher place.
