Romans 5:10 (NKJV) For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
SUBSTITUTION AND RECONCILIATION
If somebody told you that a family member would receive a priceless gift if you asked someone to die for them in their place, could you? Think about it: that is exactly what God asked of Jesus. He asked Jesus to willingly give up His life for you, His enemy, so that you would no longer be His enemy.
Most don’t think about the hardship God was placing on Himself and Jesus just to be able to have a relationship with you. In Romans 5:10, you see that enemies become friends, and that means you and Christ! As soon as He stretched His arms wide and said, “It is finished!” Accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior gives you a new life.
I am a dude, but man, my heart breaks every time I think about the sacrifice King Jesus made for ME! My heart also rejoices because I have a new and everlasting life through Christ. I am so grateful that God loves me so much that He sacrificed His only Son to die for me.
I ask that you give King Jesus and God a huge thank you for the sacrifice they made for you next time they cross your mind. God could have left enmity between you and Him, but He loved you too much to allow that to stay.
Remember, the gates of Hell will not prevail against you or me because we have King Jesus and all His power to overcome anything the enemy wants to throw at us. The Holy Spirit dwells within us, and we can step on the head of the snake with our heels, just like Jesus!
Declaration: I declare each time God or Jesus enters my mind, I will take the time to thank Them for the sacrifice They made for me. I will be about my Father’s business, sharing the everlasting, selfless gift God has given in King Jesus!
