March 14, 2024 – 3/14/2024  3-Perfect Completion14- Generational Promises & Fear of the LordJohn 14:3 (NKJV) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

To better understand John 14:3, we should look back at John 13. It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew the hour had come for Him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

In the first verse, we learn these were the hours leading up to Jesus’ arrest. I wonder what Jesus thought as He looked at His friends. He spent every waking moment showing them His Love and that of His Father, and demonstrating the Kingdom. He knew the struggles in their heart: the betrayal, the denial, the fear, and false expectations.

Psalms 139 tells us about the Lord’s ability and knowledge of everything concerning us. He knows our hearts like an open book, yet Jesus pressed on because His love was enough to cover everyone’s insecurities, fears, and bad decisions. His love longed to swallow up their fears. He knew they didn’t grasp the fullness of His coming or going. He laid all His feelings aside, knowing that His time was near. He came to reconcile them to the Father for this reason.

Ephesians 1:4-6 (NKJV) Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in Love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

John 14:3 (NKJV) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

My friends, be encouraged. The path isn’t always clear, but it is to King Jesus.
You can trust Him! Stay the course!

Declaration: Father God, when I think that I am not enough and I have fallen short, turn me back to Your Word that says I am Your servant, Your child, Your friend, and the Bride of Christ. I thank You, for Your plans for me are for my good and prosperity. You will never harm me (Jeremiah 29:11). You know the end from the beginning and see me as whole and complete through Your Son, Jesus (Isaiah 46:10).
