“CLAIM THE IMPACT OF YOUR WORDS

Proverbs 10:19 (NKJV) In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is wise. 

One of the most essential strategies God gives us for overcoming anything – even our minds – is the discipline of speaking the right words. If you’re honest, you will admit you don’t know how to say the right words automatically. The impulse to speak is always carnal in nature and filthy in substance. Like any other part of our walk, we must learn how God wants us to talk to others. 

When you’re honest with God about your mouth, He will be frank with you. He was with Moses. If you give Him an “ear to hear” on this subject, He will “teach you what to say.”  

Exodus 4:10-12 10 Then Moses said to the Lord, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” 11 So the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord? 12 Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.” 

If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” It’s time to win the battle for your tongue. It starts with your mind, then drops the three inches to your mouth. Remember, before you can place good things in order, you must speak out your declarations, so speak life over yourself and victory over your mind. Speak faith and trust over your heart. The Lord is my strength and shield; my heart trusts Him, and He helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song, I praise Him. 

DECLARATION: I will claim and own the impact of my words and use them to bring life, not death.
