2 – A Faithful Witness and Being Set Apart
8 – New Beginnings

Ephesians 2:8 (NKJV) For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.

God so loved the world that he gave his son to die so we might have life everlasting (John 3:16). Our sins are never too big or wrong for God to forgive us. Know this: God is not mad at you. He’s not waiting for you to mess up so He can squash you.

Ephesians 2:9-10 Not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Salvation is not a reward for our good deeds, so none of us can boast about it, for we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.

Satan hates it when we know how good God truly is. It shines a very bright spotlight on how evil and demented he is. He hates remembering he is not God and has already lost the battle.

Psalm 103:2-5 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Today is the 8th day of February. As you may know, the number eight means new beginnings. Nobody loves new beginnings more than your Maker. He is the God of the second, third, and 490th chances (70 x 7; Matthew 18:22).

While a Western mind tends to think in terms of dispensations or quick, abrupt leaps from one thing to another, a Middle Eastern mind thinks of gradual change through cycles and seasons. God does both. He loves to do things in cycles while consistently advancing and progressing His people into new things.

God steadily moves us into fresh and unspoiled places we never imagined. I love how God does it. As His Spirit leads us, we push the envelope of what we can do and how we can do it until we finally can say what Paul said in Philippians: “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”

DECLARATION: I will see the manifestation of God’s word produced in my life. Because God’s word never falls dead unto the ground without carrying out what God sent it to do. The goodness of God will take over me and my life.
