9-Fruit Bearing

Colossians 1:9 (NKJV) –For this reason, we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.

Paul was concerned about the spiritual health of the church in Colosse. Because even the elect can be deceived. He did not want false teachers mixing pagan and Christian ideas and producing a false doctrine. In his letters, he wrote to them urging them to give special attention to the deity of Christ and to test what is being taught by comparing it with the teaching of the Bible. Like Paul, we should be concerned about our spiritual health and be sure to follow God’s teaching so that we will always produce good fruit in our daily walk.

DECLARATION: I will honor and please God and produce good fruit. I shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water yielding fruit in my season. I will intercede for the United States and the world. I declare that the glory of the Lord will cover the earth. And the people will rejoice in praise and thanksgiving to King Jesus!

COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD’S WILL

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Speaking the word of God in prayer is powerful and necessary in our walk with Christ. We must study and meditate on the word of God daily. Bible meditation is mulling over God’s word, letting it take root in the good soil of your heart, and receiving a better understanding of God and his kingdom. By doing this, we will have the mind of Christ and the discernment needed for our day.

Matthew 7:15-20 15: “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.  16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?  17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.  18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.  19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.  20 Therefore, by their fruits, you will know them.

Take heed, My Friends, and always compare any information given to you about living your life to what the Word of God says in the Bible.

Always strive to produce good fruit because you know the complete knowledge of God’s will.
