TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBERS
January 2, 2024 – 1/2/2024
1 – Unity
2 – Faithful Witness Set Apart
Psalms 133:1-3 NKJV – It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing— Life forevermore.
When Jesus is your focus, people will see His light and goodness. Keep your eyes on Him because the lost are counting on you! The American church could use a dose of goodness. Why is God known for persecution and judgment instead of goodness and love for those who do not believe?
Declaration: I declare and decree in the mighty name of JESUS – Your goodness, King Jesus, will set the atmosphere I occupy. I declare and decree in the mighty name of JESUS – because goodness will always oppose evil, and evil is overcome by goodness; I know Your goodness will always lead me to victory!
A DOSE OF GOODNESS
People today don’t accept God’s love or genuinely believe He’s good. The problem is there’s not enough goodness in the people who profess Christ’s name!
When the Church is the good guy, it is powerful. The kingdom of God transforms lives, heaven invades earth, and everything is better!
When the Church is the bad guy, that is powerful, too, but in a wrong way. The mob of hell rises in the world!
I like what Paul writes to believers about the condition of our hearts and the church when we don’t value goodness: “It is obvious what kind of life develops out of trying to get your way all the time: repetitive, loveless, a stinking accumulation of mental and emotional garbage; frenzied and joyless grabs for happiness. trinket gods; magic-show religion; paranoid loneliness; cutthroat competition; all-consuming-yet-never-satisfied wants; a brutal temper; impotence to love or be loved; divided homes and divided lives; small-minded and lopsided pursuits; the vicious habit of depersonalizing everyone into a rival; uncontrolled and uncontrollable addictions; ugly parodies of community. I could go on. This isn’t the first time I have warned you; you know. If you use your freedom this way, you will not inherit God’s kingdom.” –Galatians 5:19-21 (MSG)
OUCH! Do you see yourself? It is hard not to. Again, Paul was writing to the Church! When Christians and the Church itself are not full of God’s goodness, everything is miserable. It does not have to be like that. choose goodness. Believe God when He claims to be love – When He professes that He is light – when He proves by His actions that He is truly good and perfect.
