Romans 12:11 (NKJV) – Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.

Lack of passion is fatal. Lack of passion is evil. Lack of empathy is the essence of evil. When we hear the word passion we tend to think of out of control. But self control is not the lack of passion. Self control is the rule of passion.

Declaration: I will not become apathetic. I will not let my heart become hardened to the Lord or to those around me. I will remain zealous for King Jesus because I will set my heart on Him! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

NOT LAGGING IN DILIGENCE

We have the responsibility to not lag in diligence! We have to stay focused, and we cannot bail. Diligence is the siamese twin of being fervent in spirit—always fired up. Both are needed in serving the Lord.

Always fired up, isn’t that how you hit burnout? No! You hit burnout when you live two lives: a “God-walk” and a “private-walk.” Your passion for the Lord has to permeate every part of your life; do not restrict it to just a Sunday morning thing. You do not burnout in being madly in love with King Jesus.

Accept the responsibility of your love-level towards Jesus. You have to love truth and be willing to seek it out. Determine that in every aspect of your life, you’re going to seek the Lord’s heart on the matter. Invite Him into everything you’re involved in, and get involved in what you know makes His heart made manifest.

Go after His presence in crazy ways! I’ve gone out to Big Bend and cried out to the Lord in that great wilderness. I’ve got friends that have gone to these far out, isolated parts of the world because they wanted to seek the Lord there in a brand new way. Friends, we’re not limited in the ways we can grow our passion for Jesus. Just don’t lag in diligence!

Be personally involved. Seek supernatural encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ and map out the Father’s heart!
