16 – The Love of god

Acts 11:16 (NKJV) – Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

Being baptized in the Holy Spirit means we have a Helper to reveal the things that God wants us to search out. The Holy Spirit will help us to make right decisions in our lives by walking in the fear of the Lord.

Declaration: I will listen to the still, small voice when I make decisions, led by the Holy Spirit as a child of God. I will walk in the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom, all the days of my life! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

BAPTISM OF WATER
AND SPIRIT

Water baptism is an outward sign of our inward decision when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior. It’s powerful, and it’s wonderful, and it’s a great asset to the Body of Christ. Once you go down in the water, the things that held you in slavery go down with you, but once you rise up, those things stay in the watery depths. You’ve declared that those things no longer own you! Jesus has paid the price for you, and now He’s your Lord instead of the counterfeits! Hallelujah!

One of the greatest gifts that God the Father has given to us is His Holy Spirit. The very same Spirit that searches the depths of Him and reveals them to us! (1 Corinthians 2:10) The Holy Spirit that raised Christ Jesus from the dead! (Romans 8:11) The Holy Spirit that fell on the disciples at Pentecost, baptizing them in the power of God! (Acts 2)

It’s that baptism that is also available to us through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:18-20 (NKJV)
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

The water baptism is a powerful prophetic act of you dying with Christ Jesus, leaving behind the works of sin and death, and rising up as a new creation with new life in King Jesus. The baptism of the Holy Spirit empowers you to maintain that freedom and to expand the Kingdom of God! Friends, if you have not yet been baptized by the Holy Spirit, ask the Father! It is His good pleasure to give us the Kingdom!

For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! – Matthew 7:8-11 (NKJV)
