TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER – 2/23/23

Daniel 2:23 – “I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me wisdom and might and have now made known to me what we asked of You, for You have made known to us the king’s demand.”

The Lord listens to what you say about Him and the life He’s given you. Do you thank and praise Him for what He has done in you? Do you recognize His goodness even in the day you are living in? When you don’t see God’s goodness, you miss the glory of God.

Declaration: I thank you and praise You, my Lord! I will walk in the gift of wisdom and take your word to kings and paupers.

A NEW SONG

When we start walking with the Lord in new things, there are all kinds of promises God gives us.  Promises like a new name, a new covenant, a new heart, a new spirit, a new tongue, a new commandment – even a new heaven and earth.

Today, I would like to focus on what it means to have a new song.

As a professional musician who has written more songs than I can count, I love music. I love all kinds of music and I actually plan different kinds of music for different settings throughout my day.

There are sometimes when I’m just feeling blues-y and I know how to play the blues. You just worship God in E-minor. I also know how to sing to Him and praise Him in a G  for when I am feeling grateful and in the key of A when I’m specifically looking for alignment.

What does it mean to have a new song? Well, it’s different for each of us, but this is what it looks like for me. I go after something in life and it doesn’t go the way I planned. Sometimes I win, but other times, I crash and burn. Either way, I find a new reason to see the goodness of God in my life by the way He responds to my victory or to my defeat.

In other words, I am more aware of His presence than I am aware of how I’ve been ripped off or defeated. I find myself more transformed and renewed than beat up and hurting. That comes from walking in the newness of life. That comes from finding His goodness in all situations – especially the negative ones.

Can you find the Lord in a new way despite adversity and flat out defeat? Can you find Him in victory? Look for His goodness no matter where you are and you’ll be singing a new song!

But let all who take refuge in You be glad, Let them ever sing for joy; And may You shelter them, That those who love Your name may exult in You. – Psalms 5:11
