TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER – 1/7/2023
Song of Songs 1:7 – Tell me, O you whom I love, Where you feed your flock, Where you make it rest at noon. For why should I be as one who veils herself By the flocks of your companions?
You can trust Jesus when He says His yoke is easy and His burden is light. He has a place of rest and rejuvenation in His presence. You don’t need an invitation. Run there today.
Declaration: Jesus is my Bridegroom and I am His beloved bride. I will press into His wrap-around presence today because He I am His beloved and He is mine.
THE WORKING OF HIS MIGHTY POWER
Well, when I start feeling like I’m losing control of my mind and emotions, when the in-a-me has gotten a foothold, I know I need to go to the book of Ephesians. The words in that book reassure me I’m not living a powerless life.
Here’s the truth on your thoughts and emotions: Just because you feel it, doesn’t mean you have to act on it. You’re not supposed to submit to your carnal feelings.
“Well, Pastor Troy I’ve felt like this since I was a child. I don’t know any other way.” Well, God Almighty has called you to be an overcomer. Hallelujah.
Now, back to Ephesians 1 where Paul is talking about lots of cool things. It always amazes me when Paul says this strange thing:
“I pray that you would know what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power…” – Ephesians 1:19
What Paul is talking about here is the power of God. In fact, I found a great quote by D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones: “Take all the dictionaries of the world, exhaust all the vocabularies, and when you have added them all together you have still not begun to describe the greatness of God’s power.” BOOM!
If you are able to describe the power of God within your life, you have no power of God within your life. You need to tap into things that are indescribable. You know God is working, but you just cannot put into words what He’s doing and how it works together for your good.
Feelings ruling your thoughts and actions? Is your walk in need of a power boost so you can be speechless at the good works He is doing within you? Tap into Ephesians. Read it out loud. Speak its declarations and put yourself into that text. Step out in faith and see what true power is!
