TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER – 1/1/2023
Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Did you know there is high level science in the Bible? In the beginning (time) God created the heavens (space) and the earth (matter). Not only does God take credit for the time/space continuum, scientists did not even discover it until the late 1800’s. God is the real deal and you can trust He is the true Creator.
Declaration: The Bible is true. Jesus is the Chief Architect and builder of the universe. He knows the end from the beginning and I can trust Him with my life today.
HOW BEAUTIFUL!
There are a lot of people I want to meet when I get to heaven. I have so many questions and I imagine having them answered would give me a complete picture of God’s amazing grace.
I wonder if Joseph ever asked Mary if she was sure God said she was blessed and highly favored. I’m sure he wondered if it was necessary for them to go through all the hell of shame and rejection. I may not know if he actually thought about that, but I do know this: it was necessary.
It’s funny how western civilization portrays the birth of Jesus in such a positive way. Beautiful nativity sets that show pristine, sterile conditions of a perfect Joseph, Mary and baby.
Three perfect wise men and three perfect little animals around and one perfect angel. When you see this, you’re going to go, “How beautiful.” And that’s the way we need to remember it, but it’s not the way it was.
Remember that Jesus was born in the midst of a terrible mess, and remember that’s what makes it perfect. He sees you that way too because He sees your end and He’s patiently working all things for your good.
When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. – Luke 2:17-19
