TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER

but your eyes have seen every great act of the Lord which He did. – Deuteronomy 11:7

Your job is to testify of how King Jesus showed up for you. Bring glory to Him no matter what. Tell your children stories of God’s goodness. Remember your every victory. It’s a big deal.

Declaration: I have seen the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living and I’m not ashamed of the gospel. I will boldly testify all the days of my life.

Judged by Your Own Deeds

The sixth word in Romans 2 is about judgment.

“Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things. And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God?”– Romans 2:1-3; Matthew 7:1-5

In other words, if you don’t want to walk in the Spirit and be judged by God’s standard, you’ll be judged by the standard of what you’ve done. That’s a pretty scary measuring stick!

Your own personal integrity and self-righteousness will never match the holiness of Jesus. It makes you incompatible with Him and makes Him unable to live with you.

Jesus told the Pharisees they missed the time of the Messiah by failing to recognize that Moses and the prophets all pointed to Him (John 5:29). He also said if your righteousness doesn’t go beyond the Pharisees, you’ve missed the mark. Their standard wasn’t enough and neither is yours.

How easy it is to neglect the Spirit and listen to our own thoughts, that giant called the flesh, effectively creating our own standard.

Be active in your fidelity to Christ and learn to submit to the Holy Spirit. To be walking with the Spirit is to be filled to the overflow with Him, and through that overflow comes blessing and fruitfulness.

Christ reconciled the world–you–to Himself, gaining you access to His free gift of life, but you have to take it by trusting what He says instead of what you think. Lay down your standard and take up His. Repent of doing things your own way as many times as it takes.

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” – Matthew 11:28-29
