TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. – Hebrew 11:6

The one thing that God requires of us is to believe. Do you have the kind of faith that brings heaven to you and births heaven in you? Seek to grow your faith daily.

Declaration: I have supernatural faith to move mountains.

Armored Up

There was shepherd boy named David who chose a slingshot over a sword to take on a literal giant–the warrior champion Goliath. Despite all Goliath’s arrogant insults, he never got a chance to swing his own sword.

David, on the other hand, trusted the Lord who trained him in the sheepfold how to take down an evil predator.

“Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord… For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.” – Exodus 14:13&14

The flesh is like a miniature Goliath of Gath that proudly boasts what it can do and how tough it is. It’s in opposition of God’s plan, purpose, and even presence. Today, will you allow the Spirit of the Lord to deal with it within your mind and emotions?

Goliath is marked with sixes, including six pieces of armor (1 Samuel 17:4-7). His gods are himself, his own desires, and the weapons of the world. He’s an instinctive, soulish survivalist interested in the lusts of the flesh, eyes, and pride of life.

God gave us armor too and it’s better than what Goliath had. Our armor is:

The Belt of Truth

The Breastplate of Righteousness

The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace

The Shield of Faith

The Helmet of Salvation

The Sword of the Spirit

But six is followed by the number seven, and seven is the fullness of Spirit. Seven overcomes six.

Do you have a giant to overcome? Finances, a flirtation, porn, swearing, depression, loneliness, anger… the list goes on. Is your own flesh trying to take over? Or, like Goliath, are you slipping into confidence in manmade weapons, personal strength, and false gods? Stop getting beat up by your own temptation! Ask King Jesus to deliver you. Pull out that Sword of the Holy Spirit and slay some giants in your life today.

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.They have bowed down and fallen; But we have risen and stand upright.” – Psalm 20:7&8
