When you feel like you’re alone, it’s a lie. When you feel like you’ll never measure up, it’s a lie. When you feel like you’re unlovable, it’s a lie from the deceiver. You are one of My sheep and My sheep know My voice. When have I ever told you that you’re not enough for Me?

John received an awesome revelation that we – the Church – need to return to a lifestyle of being loved. We need to change and repent in how we think.

“We love Him because He first loved us.” – 1 John 4:19

You may have believed the lie that you have to perform to be loved. You think you have to measure up and jump through all these different hoops to be worthy. Why? Because you do it for your husband or your wife. You jump through hoops for your kids, your boss, your teacher or your coach.

Everything you and do in this world is about performance. You think, “If I do this, then I’ll receive that.” That may hold some truth in the world, but it’s not how the Kingdom works.

With God, you don’t have to perform. You don’t have to do anything but respond.

He wants to love you. Some of you need to hear that you are trapped. You are connected to chains and being held captive because the only way you can be loved is according to how you perform. That’s not what God is inviting you into.

He’s inviting you to receive and to respond to His love. You can’t earn it. You don’t deserve it. It’s a gift.

“A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven.” – John 3:27

Stop trying to earn God’s love. It’s already yours. You don’t have to drive yourself crazy trying to measure up. You’re already enough.
