TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT
There is power in prophetic acts. I love it when you step out and declare My sovereignty in your life for all to see. Make a new covenant with Me this day. I will let My blessings flow over you and give you overcoming power.
NEW COVENANT
There is crazy power in baptism, but it’s not the power to save. You’ve already been saved, Amen? The power in baptism is this: baptism initiates supernatural victory to overcome things.
The reason baptism is so supernaturally powerful is because it’s a prophetic act of a supernatural covenant. The fact is, we serve a very supernatural-covenant God and baptism is our promise or pledge to all that we belong to Him.
Jesus demonstrated this when He went to the Jordan River to be baptized by His cousin, John the Baptist. John was not absolving the people there of their sins by dunking them under the water, he was helping them enter a new covenant with God for their identity, purpose, and destiny.
“I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.” It came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove. Then a voice came from heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” – Mark 1:8-11
Boom! This was the moment Jesus truly stepped into His power and His ministry started. Baptism initiated a response from heaven and Jesus walked in the tremendous victory of signs, miracles, and wonders. He overcame objections. He overcame angry mobs. He overcame our doubt and fear. He overcame death and hell.
Are you an overcomer? Do you have that supernatural victory working in your life? Make a new covenant with God for this new season you’re going into. Demonstrate your intention through this prophetic act and see the power of God manifest in your life.
