RED LETTERS 2 – The Power of Personal Prophetic Words

CHRISTIANS ARE ACTUALLY PROPHETIC PEOPLE.
IT’S BEDROCK CHRISTIANITY – CHRISTIANITY 101.

EVERY CHRISTIAN HAS AN OPEN INVITATION TO HEAR WHAT OTHERS DO NOT and to see what others do not.

God is speaking incredible things to us and we can’t miss them. All of us children of God not only have a calling, we actually have a duty to answer the calling to people chasing after God’s own heart and living a prophetic lifestyle.

Of course God is speaking and it’s not the ceiling or the really high up things. It’s not the advanced part of walking with God. It is, in fact, the floor – a very FOUNDATIONAL PRINCIPLE.

So don’t bother arguing with anyone over the legitimacy of you hearing God speak.

Hebrews 6:1
[The Peril of Not Progressing] Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God…

God spoke through the prophet Jeremiah, “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”

Amos 3:7 – Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken! Who can but prophesy?

Moses cried out as recorded in

Numbers 11:29 – …would God that all the LORD’S people were prophets…

Paul put it this way:
1 Corinthians 14:1 – Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.

PROPHECY IS NOT THE FORETELLING OF THE FUTURE AS MANY BELIEVE. THAT’S JUST A PART OF PROPHECY. TO PROPHESY MEANS TO SPEAK GOD’S WORDS TO PEOPLE IN NEED OF THE TRUTH.

1 Corinthians 14:3 – But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.

PROPHECY IS SPEAKING IDENTITY, PURPOSE AND DESTINY INTO PEOPLE.

1 Corinthians 14:31 – For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged.

1 Corinthians 14:39 – Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy…

Prophecy is something you are supposed to pursue!
Paul said we are supposed to want to go after it.

Isaiah 30:21 – And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.

Mark 4:24 – King Jesus himself said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you.

Luke 11:28 – But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”

John 10:27 – My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me

It’s a done deal. It’s a finished matter that we are to know God, not in theory, but in reality. There is no such thing as an intimate relationship where the two do not communicate.

Let’s go go back to that amazing meeting between Jesus and peter.

Matthew 16:17-18
Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.

The power to possess breakthrough comes from hearing the word of God.

The church whose foundation is built upon personal revelation of Jesus Christ by the mouth of God Himself is the church with breakthrough power.

Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Father.

YOUR ABILITY TO GET PAST THE ENEMY’S BARRIERS (the gates of hell) IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO YOUR ABILITY TO HEAR GOD SPEAK.

…and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

THAT DOESN’T JUST MEAN THE CHURCH IS INVADING HELL. It means Heaven is invading earth.

This is a time of finishing things.

2 Corinthians 8:11 – Now therefore perform the doing [of it]; that as [there was] a readiness to will, so [there may be] a performance also out of that which ye have.

Philippians 1:6 – Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ:

Ecclesiastes 7:8 – Better [is] the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: [and] the patient in spirit [is] better than the proud in spirit.

Revelation 3:2 – Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

John 4:34 – Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

“This is a time of unobstructed view”

1 Samuel 12:16 – Now then, stand still and see this great thing the LORD is about to do before your eyes!

2 Samuel 10:12, 1 Chronicles 19:13 – The LORD will do what is good in His sight.

2 Chronicles 7:14-16 – If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that My name may be there forever. My eyes and My heart will always be there.

Psalm 19:14 – May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Psalm 27:4 – One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek Him in His temple.

Psalm 34:8 – Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.
