14 Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord!
Your emotional stability matters! Your supernatural sanity matters!

Revelation 2:4 – Nevertheless I have somewhat against you, because you have left your first love

Lack of passion is fatal
Lack of passion is evil
Lack of empathy is the essence of evil
Psalms 51:17 – My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise
When your spirit is right, when your attitude and emotional well being is right, it’s like sweet perfume to the Lord and He cannot resist it!
People who are not fired up about the RIGHT things are typically fired up about the wrong things.
Emotionally health and emotional stability are the greatest ways we actually serve the Lord.
Self-control is not the lack of passion.
Self-control is the rule of passion.
God wants us to be zealous
The Lukewarm Church
Revelation 3:14-22 – “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,
‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. I’m not supposed to not be mad. I am supposed to be mad.
“Be ye angry and sin not.”
There is a discipline of living by the spirit AND A BIG PART OF IT IS YOU AND ME BEING DETERMINED TO BE HARD CORE PASSIONATE ABOUT LOVING LIFE.
I want to love God and love people so much that people call it irresponsible and reckless.
Set a fire down in my soul.
How do I maintain my passion?
1. PERSONAL INVOLVEMENT
THIS IS WHY I GO ON MISSION TRIPS, DO THE FOOD OUTREACH AND GO INTO PRISONS. BECAUSE I NEVER WANT TO LOSE TOUCH WITH WHAT GOD IS DOING IN THE TRENCHES. SEEING THE FRUIT IS SO IMPORTANT. HAVING THE THE STORY TELL IS SO IMPORTANT
2. SUPERNATURAL ENCOUNTER
3. MAPPING OUT GOD’S HEART
Acts 13:22 (NKJV)
And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.
CHILD-LIKE WONDER AND FASCINATION WITH THE HEART OF THE FATHER, POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING ABOUT KING JESUS.
